Sitka Projects, LLC turned this 2 bathroom house into a 3 bathroom house by converting a “photo development room” that used to house a commode in the middle of the room into a beautiful contemporary bath room. Yes, there was a commode in the middle of the room! Permits for the project were strait forward requiring a basic floor plan, elevations, and sections as needed. The bathroom remodel is in Portland Oregon and was passed and finalized through the Bureau of Development Services.
The project consisted of Sitka constructing some new non-load bearing walls to capture the space in a more usable way, followed by a slew of interior finish work. The finish work is comprised of a porcelain tile shower with a quartz top bench, marmoleum flooring, floating contemporary vanity, two elegant medicine cabinets, a simple selection of millwork, and a solar tube located in the shower for natural lighting. The interior design work is by SRM.
